About The Author….
John
Nagel was born in Rock Island, Illinois and was slightly less than seven years
old when the assassination of President Kennedy took place in Dallas. The second
of 4 sons, his interest in the events of November 22, 1963 were sparked by a
book his parents’ had, called The Torch Is Passed. From that point
forward, he read everything he could on the subject, researching and absorbing
the many books that came out.
In February of 1989, due to economic conditions, John and his wife Cheryl moved to Dallas. Once in Dallas, John immersed himself into the assassination community and worked at the JFK Assassination Information Center. He worked at the center/archive part-time on top of a full time position elsewhere. On the weekends, he tended the counter, gave tours and did extensive public relations work. In addition, he started a successful mail order business for the center which later became a major mail order source for books on the assassination. In 1991, the JFK Assassination Information Center was proud to assist Oliver Stone as consultants on the film, JFK. In 1994, the JFK Assassination Information Center closed its doors.
John now works part time at THE CONSPIRACY MUSEUM (110 S. Market Street, Dallas, TX 75202) in much the same capacity as he did before with the JFK AIC. His walking tours of Dealey Plaza on the weekends are well renowned throughout the country for their information, passion and presentation and have also been featured in spots on TV in Los Angeles and England. As John has stressed over the years, his goal is not to solve the case, but to educate the public regarding the events of November 22, 1963 and let them decide for themselves, "Who really killed JFK?" The assassination of an American President on one of it’s own streets deserves answers. As of this time, by a large majority, the public does not agree with the official government findings.
May the torch now pass to a new generation for those answers.
…"Ladies and Gentlemen. Welcome to Dealey Plaza and the sites that embodied our nations’ darkest hours. Please remember we are here to experience history, so that those hours do not become lost in the back of some history book, but instead, become part of a proud and rich American history and heritage…"
